The History of the Ohio Bible Fellowship
The Ohio Bible Fellowship was formed on January 12, 1968. The original collection of pastors and their churches left the Independent Fundamental Churches of America because of its drift into new evangelicalism. While much has changed since that time, the OBF stills exists as a Bible separatist organization which warns against the dangers of cooperation with unbelief and apostasy and continues to have a ministry of warning for the protection of the churches (2 Corinthians 6:14, 17; Romans 16:17; Ephesians 5:11; 2 Timothy 4:2). These positions are not taken lightly but are based on the holiness of God (Leviticus 20:26; 2 Peter 1:15, 16). Church history also demonstrates that churches, schools, and biblical movements tend to drift from their founding principles over time. The members and churches of the OBF still endeavor to remain true to God amidst the current challenges faced by Christians today.
